Drain FREE at last!

Faithful friends!

Truly the Lord is good. I was to see my breast surgeon on Friday, but his office called on Thursday and said they could see me on Thursday afternoon. Yahoo! The last drain was removed and plans were laid to take my first shower since my surgery.

I am getting physically stronger every single day. Some girlfriends (thank you Pamela and Christie) came by yesterday and got me out of the house for a much needed change of scenery.

It is hard to not be physically able to hold ones children. My arms ache at times to hold the baby, and to play in the floor with the kids. I know that my physical limitations are only for a period of time, and i am leaning on God's time for my healing.

Thank you all for your kind words. My heart is thankful for your prayers. Of course i am sorry to hear of some of your own struggles with this disease and am adding you to my own prayer list for God's healing hand to touch you. I have witnessed His healing powers many times. The Lord declares He will restore you to health and heal your wounds. Jeremiah 30:17. Lets all claim it together!

I will continue to keep up the blog to keep you posted. My love to you all!
God Bless you and keep you.
Your servant,
karen

Karen and Daniel,

I logged on today to see how you and your sister are doing. It was great to see that you were able to get to Jonesboro. We are thinking about all of you in these tough but blessed days.

I drive by the house two or three times a day, so let us know if there is anything that you need.

God Bless,
Susan and Park Anders

Karen,
Your faith and positive attitude shining through once again! It's been forever timewise but feels like only yesterday when we were either playing basketball or flying around the track!

You and Kim are on our prayer list at FBC Sheridan. Marci had emailed me and told me about your battle (which you will no doubt conquer!). We all will continue to lift you both up in prayer as well as your families.

Keep the FAITH!!!

Karen,
I hope you are having a wonderful Labor Day weekend with your family and continue a speedy recovery. I'm glad you got to visit with Kim last week. I saw her children at the movies Sat. They are all beautiful. I guess life is truly a full circle. As I read thru your blog, I am seeing/remembering girls names that I went to grade school with in Beebe prior to moving to Pocahontas in the 4th grade!! It is a blessing to be surrounded by new as well as old friends. Wish you and your family well and hope our paths cross someday soon.
Love,
Leigh Ann (Daniel)Schmidt

Karen,

My mother forwarded my your blog. My heart breaks for you and your family but I know that you are a strong person with a foundation through God. I will add you and Kim to our prayer lists. Keep the faith and know that God only gives us what he knows that we can endure. You have always had a wonderful spirit and I know that this is just another hurdle thrown at you that you will be able to leap and become stronger. We love you and are praying for you, Kim, your parents, your spouses and your beautiful children.

Much love,

Dear Karen,
It is so good to see you are gaining strength. The one day at at time pace is sure different from the fast paced world before isn't it? I can tell you are doing great with it.

You and Daniel are in our prayers daily for the Lord's strength blessing. Please tell Daniel to call if there is any way we can help out.

James and I have been following your blog regularly and are truly relieved to hear that you are doing so well. You and your family's struggles have encouraged us to keep our own lives in perspective.

Congratulations on having the drains out and finally getting to shower. Soon you will be rolling around in the floor with all the kids!

We will continue to keep you and yours in our thoughts and we look forward to more posts.

Sincerely,
