Family Time

I have known that i needed to write for many days, but i have found it most difficult to find words.

I am healing remarkably well. There are definitely some physical limitations still at this point, but time and appropriate exercises will help remedy those problems. The swelling is almost resolved, and pain is becoming something of the past. I still have to be cautious to not over do it, but i see progress everyday.

I can't say Thank-you enough to all of you. Your prayers, love, and acts of kindness have been overwhelming - you have taken care of my family and provided support that has enabled me to concentrate on my healing. We are grateful.

While i know you are curious to hear of my progress, i know you are equally anxious to hear about Kim. Here is where i find it hard to talk. Kim was admitted to the hospital today. It has been increasingly hard to manage her pain and so this is one of the major reasons for her going into the hospital. I don't feel like i can reveal much more - i feel a deep conviction to maintain the privacy of Kim and her family until they are ready to share more about this deeply intimate time in their lives. I know that you can understand that we are all trying to manage a full range of emotions right now. What i can share is that Kim is being well cared for and her pain is under control.

Your prayers are sustaining, and God's presence is where we find comfort. We see and feel God's loving hands through your gracious acts of kindness. Please continue to lift Kim, Mark & the kids, and my parents in your prayers.

My family and I will leave in the morning to go to Jonesboro. I will share more with you when i am able.

May God's blessings rain down upon you!
Karen

Drain FREE at last!

Faithful friends!

Truly the Lord is good. I was to see my breast surgeon on Friday, but his office called on Thursday and said they could see me on Thursday afternoon. Yahoo! The last drain was removed and plans were laid to take my first shower since my surgery.

I am getting physically stronger every single day. Some girlfriends (thank you Pamela and Christie) came by yesterday and got me out of the house for a much needed change of scenery.

It is hard to not be physically able to hold ones children. My arms ache at times to hold the baby, and to play in the floor with the kids. I know that my physical limitations are only for a period of time, and i am leaning on God's time for my healing.

Thank you all for your kind words. My heart is thankful for your prayers. Of course i am sorry to hear of some of your own struggles with this disease and am adding you to my own prayer list for God's healing hand to touch you. I have witnessed His healing powers many times. The Lord declares He will restore you to health and heal your wounds. Jeremiah 30:17. Lets all claim it together!

I will continue to keep up the blog to keep you posted. My love to you all!
God Bless you and keep you.
Your servant,
karen
